Andrew's Story

Andrew had Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy which is an incurable heart condition. Andrew had a couple of operations in late 2019 to have an ICD fitted, despite this Andrew collapsed and died whilst playing football at school on the 14th of March 2023.

I am Andrew’s dad and I’ve set up the Andrew MacKinnon Foundation in his memory. Our website is https://forever15.org.uk and our mission is to help under privileged children play football no matter their financial circumstances.


We have also supported the local community with charitable donations such as a defibrillator which we recently donated to Andrew’s school.
